Scope Global was delighted to be part of the 6th annual International Skills Forum hosted by the Asian Development Bank in Manila this September.
The annual forum has helped to build a dialogue platform on skills development in the Asia-Pacific region. Participation was by invitation only, prioritising leading experts and policy makers in the areas of skills development, training and workforce development.
It was important for Scope Global to take part as we continue to implement effective and innovative approaches to skills development. The initiatives we currently implement and support in this area include:
- the JobStart Philippines program and the Bhutan Institutional Strengthening for Skills Development project on behalf of the Asian Development Bank
- the Kiribati Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector Strengthening Program
- design of Phase III of the Australia-Pacific Technical College.
These current initiatives build on our long history of implementing programs and projects in skills development and technical and vocational education and training. In recent years we have also completed a number of complex and successful skills training and development projects, such as those in Timor-Leste and Cambodia.
