For the second year in a row, Scope Global staff contributed to The Smith Family’s annual Christmas Toy & Book Appeal by donating presents and delivering them to Adelaide families in need. This year, the Smith Family gave a total of 43,000 new toys and 29,000 books to disadvantaged children around Australia.
Scope Global has proudly supported the work of The Smith Family for the last three years. The Smith Family helps break the cycle of disadvantage by working with families in high need communities, and providing long-term support for disadvantaged children throughout their education.
Scope Global also supports The Smith Family by participating in their online mentoring program, iTrack. Ten Scope Global staff members were volunteer mentors to high school students during the last year.
Mentors act as role models for disadvantaged youth, providing students with the encouragement and guidance to succeed in their studies and transition into the workforce.
Scope Global is also proud to sponsor a young Aboriginal woman studying psychology at university.
It’s been a privilege to contribute to the work of one of Australia’s oldest charities. We are looking forward to supporting The Smith Family in 2016.
