Iraq Partnerships Facility
Client Coffey International Development / Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT)
Year 2009 – 2013
The Iraq Partnership Facility (IPF) was designed to contribute to Iraq’s rehabilitation through capability development, training and service delivery in line with Australia’s focus of assistance to Iraq, specifically in niche areas of agriculture and governance. IPF provides expert advice and capacity building for Government of Iraq Ministries, mainly through arranging capacity building activities for government officials (e.g. training courses, study tours, interactions with Australian institutions) in Australia.
Scope Global bid for and was awarded contracts by the IPF Managing Contractor, Coffey International Development, to develop and deliver tailored training to Iraqi government officials in the areas of banking, taxation, macroeconomics, international trade and water resources management. Scope Global designed, developed and and delivered the technical training programs, managed all logistical aspects for participants (including the coordination of travel within Australia and participant insurance) and was responsible for all health and welfare aspects plus the delivery of a social program to enhance their stay in Australia.
