Pacific Technical Assistance Mechanism Phase 2  (PACTAM2)

PACTAM2 is an Australian Government initiative funded through its official aid agency, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and managed by Scope Global. PACTAM2 builds on the achievements of PacTAM, delivered from 2006 – 2014.

The PACTAM2 program is a key component of the Australian aid program managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Adviser roles are aligned with the priorities and the development objectives of regional and country strategy documents and the Aid Investment Plans.

Scope Global leads recruitment, mobilisation and in country support and provides assistance to DFAT and partner government and organisations in the selection and management of advisers. The assignments are identified and requested by partner governments, in collaboration with the DFAT Post in each participating country.

  • Chief Pathologist March 22, 2019

    The position Chief Pathologist, Samoa will be based in the National Health Services Laboratory, which is the only clinical diagnostic lab in Samoa. The lab is located at the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital (TTMH) in Apia, with a smaller lab at the Malietoa Tanumafili II Hospital (MTII) in Tuasivi Savaii. The main responsibilities for the Chief Pathologist will be to work across the Samoa National Health Services Laboratory, performing or supervising pathology services and building the capacity of local staff in pathology services. The Chief Pathologist Adviser will be accountable to and managed by General Manager, National Health Services on management-related matters and within the management structures overseen by the Manager Laboratory Division and Manager Clinical Services This role is expected to commence in June 2019 for a period of 26 months.

    This role is offered in Samoa. The partner organisation is National Health Service. Assignment duration is 26 months with expected start date being Mid June 2019.
