Connecting people, changing lives, reaching our region

AVID and CommBank collaborate to embed innovation in RAVN

During volunteer assignments, many volunteers are inspired to solve a development challenge or social issue through developing innovative business ideas, or projects/enterprises with social impact.

AVID has partnered with CommBank to offer 20 returned volunteers the chance to attend a fully-funded two-day Innovation Lab workshop in Sydney. These workshops are designed to equip returned volunteers with the tools they need to innovatively approach development challenges and social/environmental issues.

If you were inspired by your Australian Government-funded volunteer assignment and have identified a development challenge or social issue that could be addressed through innovative business design, you are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Applicants must be available 15–16 June to attend the two-day workshop in Sydney. The AVID program and CommBank will fully support successful applicants with return flights, accommodation and other associated costs. Applications close on 21 May.
