  • Director - National Economic Planning Office April 26, 2018

    The Director - National Economic Planning Office (NEPO) at the Kiribati Ministry of Finance and Economic Development will be responsible for the effective management of the NEPO Division, for capacity building of NEPO staff to deliver on the Division’s objectives and for enabling the integration of planning, budgeting, investment and aid coordination across the division. The Director will improve aid effectiveness by promoting best practice in aid design, delivery and monitoring. The Director will lead a core team of technical/professional staff in NEPO and is required to provide strong intellectual and technical leadership in the areas of policy, planning and budgeting. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively and respectfully across cultures. S/he will have demonstrated experience in a senior technical position preparing strategic policy-focused financial planning, budgeting and investment advice to support fiscally achievable economic and social development outcomes. S/he will also bring a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in a senior leadership position responsible for managing human resources and building organisational capability.

    This role is offered in Kiribati. The partner organisation is Ministry of Finance & Economic Development. Assignment duration is 6 months (with possible ext to Sept 2020) with expected start date being July 2018.

  • Deputy Secretary Planning and Aid (Nauru) April 24, 2018

    The Deputy Secretary – Planning and Aid Division is a key Government of Nauru (GoN) position that has significant responsibility for providing strategic advice and assistance to the GoN in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), National Sustainable Development Strategy (NSDS) and the management of Development Fund programs and projects. This assignment provides leadership and operational support that enables overall achievement of both international and local reporting obligations. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively and respectfully across cultures. S/he will have completed a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Aid and Development, Finance, Economics, Business, Planning or related discipline. S/he will also bring a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in the aid and development sector.

    This role is offered in Nauru. The partner organisation is Ministry of Finance and Sustainable Development. Assignment duration is 6 months with possible extension with expected start date being July 2018.

  • Manager Corporate Services (Nauru) April 24, 2018

    The Manager Corporate Services will support the Nauru Ministry of Finance and Sustainable Development to embed effective operational and information technology functions within core units. This assignment is aligned with the Government of Australia’s partnership agreement with the Government of Nauru (GoN). The Aid Investment Plan Nauru 2015-16 to 2018-19 outlines the strategic priority of promoting more effective public sector management by supporting Nauru to strengthen financial management capacity and economic governance to maximise the benefits of available revenue and manage critical human development infrastructure. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively and respectfully across cultures. S/he will also bring a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in network design and operation, management and operation of information systems and financial reporting and knowledge of internal audit operations.

    This role is offered in Nauru. The partner organisation is Ministry of Finance and Sustainable Development. Assignment duration is 6 months (with possible extension) with expected start date being July 2018.
