Moira has extensive operational and strategic management experience in the not-for-profit sector and in government at state, regional and national levels. She has worked from grassroots through to cabinet and understands the profound relationship between private and public policy.
Moira is highly regarded for her creative and inclusive cross-sectoral work. She has managed inter-disciplinary teams, volunteers, program budgets and grants from government and philanthropic sources. She has designed and implemented change management in public policy, community and organisational settings, has written, edited and contributed to funding applications, and undertaken sector-wide policy advocacy.
Moira has travelled and supported enterprises and community development activities in Mozambique, South Africa, Ghana, the UK, Canada, USA, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Kazakhstan and Indonesia.
Moira holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and politics, a Bachelor of Social Administration in social policy and family therapy and has a Master of Letters that included coursework in economics and ethics. She has a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment to support her work in adult and community education.
